Weddings
My old roomie and dietetics partner got married in Salt Lake. It was so fun to go to the sealing (especially since it was where Chris and I were sealed) and see some old friends. I may or may not have gotten the dates mixed up and we showed up to the temple a day early, paid for two unnecessary parking spots downtown, got rejected from the Melting Pot for lunch and recovered my swimsuit from the Hilton hotel--don't ask details. It was quite the afternoon and Chris was pleased that I made major blunders like this every once-in-awhile (definitely not characteristic of my type A, ultra-planner personality). The other wedding was a friend Chris met on his trip to Panama. After seeing these two laugh together I don't think it was a coincidence they sat next to each other on the plane. Chris and I have had so much fun doubling with John and Brittney and really hope they can be life-long friends.
The fact that we made it to the sealing on time was a miracle. I had my race that morning and had to leave right away from that to shower and get ready. We weren't able to get on the freeway until 10:40 and the sealing started at 11:00. The open spot at the very front of a packed parking lot and the understanding temple worker weren't coincidences either. Oh how we love tender mercies.

Provo City Half Marathon, May 2012
I didn't train very hard for this race but it was my personal best for time. I loved it so much I might do another one before the summer is over. I keep on wondering what I could have done if I had been more committed prior to the race...Official half marathon stats:
1:44:18
7:58 min/mile
Placed 12th out of 131 runners in the 19-24 age division and 184th out 1101 runners overall
Scuba Certification
To get ready for Hawaii I got scuba certified with Scuba Ted's down in Springville. After some bookwork, 2 pool sessions, and 2 sessions at the crater in Midway I was good to go! I even threw in an "adventure dive" at 65 feet. It is seriously one of the coolest things I've done and I can't wait for a real ocean dive! Thanks Rob and Sherrie for such a great early birthday gift!Dates

Montana
As soon as Chris was done with the DAT we hopped in the car and drove up to Missoula to spend time with my family before we took off for California. Despite the rain it was still a great week and felt so good to relaxxxxx. We spent lots of time with Kristin and Jason and their girls and got some good laughs at Kristin's rook bids and the girl's cute sayings.Mckenna:
"Guess how big I am?"
Me:
"How big?"
Mckenna:
"Look it" (pointing to herself)
Me:
"Maddie, what's your favorite color?"
or
"Maddie, what color is this?" (referring to something blue or green or any color besides pink)
Madison:
"Ahhhh.....pink!" to every question we asked :)
Oh how I love those girls! We got some early birthday gifts since we won't see my parents during July: Chris got his own set of golf clubs and I got a beautiful watch and goodies for our apartment. It was hard to leave but we got in a beautiful day of golf in and a fun barbeque at Christopher and Natalie's on our last day there.
California
Yep, we're back again for the summer...woo hoo!Dental School Applications
Chris studied super hard for 5 weeks straight and got a 20 on his DAT which put him in the 94th percentile so we were extremely happy with his results! He has applied to a lot of schools all the way from California to New York to Florida so now we just sit and wait for interview invites in the fall. Applications are an expensive and tedious process but they are D-O-N-E. One evening I walked in on this:
