Chris and I were really wanting to do some kind of trip together over Christmas break but couldn't find anything that would fit the budget so we gave up until...
I found tickets to the Maroon 5 concert on the 29th in Vegas! So I bought the tickets with Christmas money from my parents and booked a hotel on the strip through Hotwire then wrapped it all up maroon wrapping paper that I covered in fives with a sharpie. The Christmas morning surprise was pretty great and the little getaway was absolutely a-mazing!

My crush on Adam Levine only quadrupled 10 times.
The best part was dancing and singing along to all the songs (minus the actual version of Payphone...the radio is much better for that one) with Chris and making those fun memories.
The next morning we decided to do brunch at Caesar's palace but about choked when we heard the cashier asking us to hand over $100. So, instead we found a nearby Carl's Jr. with a homeless man sleeping in the bathroom and had a perfectly satisfying breakfast for a tenth of the price. I don't mind being a poor student at times like these, especially after what we were able to do the night before (and it makes for good stories for our kids right?). It was really a perfect way to end 2012.
So glad you guys had tons of fun! It's so nice to have a little getaway every once in a while. Miss you guys!
