For our one year anniversary we decided to head to Vegas! We got a killer deal on Priceline and tickets to Cirque De Soleil over the summer and love little weekend getaways so off we went on Friday afternoon! It was such a fun drive just having time to really talk to each other and jam to good tunes. Sometimes my favorite part is just driving in the car together. With our crazy schedules I miss seeing him and this weekend was just what we needed to reconnect.
Chris came here for his bachelors party last year and ate at Buffalo Wild Wings. He was dying to go again so we stopped in on our way and he was one happy guy.
We checked in and walked down the strip and I was amazed by all the luxury shopping, including Gucci behind me.
Loved the Bellagio and all of its fun decorations!
Chris promised he would take me to the real Eiffel Tower one day. I think I'll hold him to that!
Outside Serendipity's III--we missed this like crazy since the New York trip and stopped in for dessert.
The rest of the night we spent looking at all the hotels and shopping in all of the fun stores. Too bad most of the things I liked cost more than a month's worth of rent.
On our actual anniversary we went south of Las Vegas to the outlets and had fun shopping there. Amazingly enough Chris got more than I did! I was so proud--I am teaching him well :) We came back and got ready for our night out on the town. I got to wear my sparkly gold dress I bought from Nordstrom especially for tonight!
A girl I work with gave me a dollar to gamble for her and I picked the wrong slot to do it on because it was over before I even knew it started. Some gambler I am.

Buffet at the Wynn. Unlimited sushi, crab legs, fish, pasta bar, crepes, gelato, sirloin, name any delicious food and they had it! So amazing!
It was the best weekend that we could ask for. Just in this last year I have done more, laughed more, loved more, sacrificed more, and grown more as a person with Chris than I have in my whole life.
He is my perfect compliment and puts up with my break-downs and freak-outs with his patient, easy-going, and kind character. He thinks my shopping addiction is funny, is ok with me spending hours on crafts and decor for the apartment and helps me load, hang up, and take down, finds my missing shoe every morning, is up for adventures, makes me crepes on Sunday, watches chick-flicks with me, works hard for our family, takes me skiing and teaches me how to be better, reminds me to think of others, makes dinner when I'm overwhelmed, honors his priesthood and leads our family, constantly shows that he loves me, remembers special dates, tells me he loves me every chance he gets, and puts me first in every way.
Getting married to him was the best decision I have ever made. I love you so much Chris and couldn't have picked a better husband and friend. Happy first anniversary and I can't wait for the many more to come!
