Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving was perfect for us this year because we got to spend it with both of our families! Chris's family was staying at their house in Deer Valley with their foreign exchange student, Luca, and they all came over to our condo we had just down the street for Thanksgiving dinner! It was great! Ok, its easy to say that now but that day was pretty stressful for me at the time. First of all, the oven in our condo wasn't working and we had TWO turkeys and four pies to bake! Luckily we were able to run one over to Chris's house for his family to put in their oven and did the other one on the barbecue. It actually turned out pretty well! We also had so many people (I think the final count was 26 people) it couldn't be a nice sit down dinner like I've always imagined having on Thanksgiving day. I can't wait for when I have my own house and can host a beautiful dinner complete with fancy china, chargers, festive centerpieces, candles, and name plates for each setting. I picture it being something like this.

This Thanksgiving was about the opposite but still fun to have everyone together. I think I was just worried about making sure everyone was happy since it was my first holiday with my brand new in-laws. Of course they were great and I'm glad we did it all together (I hope they were too!). That night we went to "Tangled "and *loved, loved, loved* it!! Overall, I'd say the day was a success :)
